In the area of training, research and development XAcademy has facilitated the participation of two of its employees, J. Gouveia and R. Matos, in the workshop on "The Living Wall System _Discursive " taught at ISCTE .

The result was the creation of a small scale hydraulic prototype to study the potential for dynamic movement in fixed, traditional and/or merely aesthete system approaches to architecture, as both constructive solutions and also as aesthetic or artistic embellishment.
The materials used were the cork (donated by Amorim) and various software platforms such as Grasshopper and Firefly, and printed circuit boards (PCBs).

The innate natural characteristics as well as the malleability of Cork proved to be the ideal material to incorporate and translate the desired natural dynamics concept.
Through this and similar events Exergia manifests the investment in intellectual and human capital necessary for the improvement and creation of new products, to exercise the imagination and stimulate new ways of seeing solutions.
